Strengths: Lots of support from staff Was able to spend time at the beach twice a week Was able to go out with sponser Weaknesses: not enough exercise. food not very healthy The staff is great and with you every step of the way
Its been a really great experience. The staff here has been great. The nurses were over the top helpful including Nurse Berri and Nurse Marshawn. They've done a great job of making me feel welcome here. All the doctors have been wonderful, Dr. Vega and Dr. Shaina had great bed side manner I really enjoyed talking with them and they were very helpful. Therapist Brian and Amy are very knowledgeable. My overall experience here has been great. I've been in treatment before but this time there was something different, it seems like everyone here really cares to help me get my treatment. I have made a decision this time after coming back from an overdose where I almost died. I'm so thankful to even be here and so thankful for the help. The lady in the lunch line, the guy that takes my blood, they all know my name and smile. I needed time to heal and get away from it all and now I have my sponsor, my meetings, my after care and my support system set up for when I go home. I'm looking forward to living sober. I knew it was time, I had tried to quit by myself and it just didn't work. Something that was very therapeutic for me was discovering that there are so many people here from all different walks of life that have been affected by the same things. I understand that I have a disease of addiction that can be overcome with the tools that I'm learning here. The other guys all shared their experience and gave me a sense of being able to be open up and share my story. I look forward to coming back and sharing my story here as an Alumni.
