I have been through my fair share of substance abuse treatment over the years. 4 inpatient stays as well as three IOPs. Footprints was hands down the best. It was wasn't the fanciest or most well known place I went to but that is what makes this place special. It is an intimate setting with an unbelievable staff. They made me feel like I was part of a family from day one. They went above and beyond the call of duty. The Clinical Director was amazing. She actually listened to you and designed a program that she thought would be most beneficial to you. It was individualized which is rare. I spent 90 days total at Footprints and have been sober for almost nine months. If you know anyone that needs help Footprints is the place to go.
I can never say enough to praise and thank OPR for all the caring and support I received from the entire staff and amazing community I was blessed to be a part of. OPR CARES & it shows! Highly recommend, my life has improved in so many ways and OPR has given me hope and lasting friendships. I was reminded of how much fun sobriety can be! Beach trips, movies, workouts @ a beautiful gym, bowling, zoo trips and just grilling by the pool, potluck meals with the community. AAA+++
On behalf of Amethysts recovery center I just want to hightlight one of the members (Patrick ) who works within the facility. I went to this program years back and was the first time I ever even thought about seeking treatment. My stay was short on my behalf and my mental state and issues , things I was holding on to back home and my addiction not being anything I was taking as serious as I should have with the opportunity they gave me thru a scholarship atleast not in that time period of my life. Since leaving I have called a few times over the years but recently I've came to the point of exhaustion and wanting a life free from what's had a hold of me. I don't want to write to much as easily as I could get lost in doing I just wanted to say out of everyone ive spoke to there or the different programs and places ive called around south Florida Patrick has shown or made me feel as tho someone was rooting for me or genuinely caring for my recovery. I've still been unsuccessful in finding a place for me but to anyone trying I know there are many but from my experience you'll definitely have one person who's genuine about your recovery over anything.
