The Veterans Program has been very helpful for dealing with trauma and issues I experienced from active duty. They have daily groups that address topics specific to veterans. The sharing from the other group members is very comforting to know that I’m not alone and there are so many people out there that understand me. It makes me feel more comfortable to open up and share about what I’m going through. It has been such a huge relief. The veteran therapist Brian is great. He shares about his own story with active duty and being in recovery. Its good to have a teacher that has been through the same things and has worked to overcome the same issues I’m working on. There are a lot of other vets here and its really like a comradery we have.
