Christina TuckerFounder & CEOMy first experience of putting a loved one through drug and alcohol rehab treatment was many years ago. That time period of my life really opened my eyes to the power and devastation that drug and alcohol addiction can inflict—not only on the addict but the entire family as well. Moreover, it made me realize that while the vast majority of addicts dream of a life free from the chains of drug and alcohol addiction, for far too many it remains just that—a dream. After hearing countless other stories similar to mine over the years, I ultimately made the decision to walk away from a successful career in the mortgage banking industry to dedicate myself full time to the pursuit of my vision/mission to create a world class substance abuse recovery center dedicated to helping people fully realize the dream of lifelong recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In the same 5 years, Pat has been actively involved in the Substance Abuse Treatment industry. Having obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare administration, Pat is versed in being able to navigate the healthcare industry, turning confusing quandaries into effective solutions for all clients and loved ones. Pat was a marketing specialist for 2 years before moving into other administrative roles including Utilization Review, Case Management, Admissions, Discharge Planning, and Outreach Coordination. Pat has an unwavering desire to help those who have been affected by the disease of addiction, as well as their families. Being in recovery for over 5 years himself, Pat has the ability to empathize with all addicted people, therefore being able to communicate clearly and directly with what works, and what does not work.

ABOUT COASTAL DETOX
Coastal Detox is one of the 73 (10.9 percent) of the Florida treatment centers that offer detoxification services to individuals dealing with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The medical detoxification center in Stuart, Fla., is a for-profit facility, which make up about 52.7 percent of all Florida treatment centers.
From the comfort of a newly constructed 15,000 square foot complex, clients receive a combination of counseling, holistic therapies, and healthy meals.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
The treatment protocol at Coast Detox is manifold. In addition to detoxing from alcohol and/or drugs in a safe and comfortable manner, clients benefit from both individual and group counseling to address their underlying thought patterns and behaviors that may have led them to drugs or alcohol in the first place.
They’ll also take part in a full range of holistic treatments designed to relieve stress and promote relaxation. These include massage therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapy, as well as some lesser known practices like bio sound therapy, far infrared sauna, and cold laser therapy.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Treatment at Coastal Detox is administered by a team of physicians, nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNAs), holistic therapists, and behavioral health technicians. It is one of the 203 (30.4 percent) of Florida treatment centers that are accredited by The Joint Commission.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The 15,000-square foot facility is quite expansive in its offerings. Beyond its various holistic therapies and services, Coastal Detox provides semi-private rooms, LED TVs, a “Zen” garden with waterfalls and walking paths, and outdoor seating areas. Chefs prepare nutritious meals daily. Transportation services are also available.
