Rehabs 360 Guide

Located in the small Central Florida town of Umatilla, the Recovery Village offers residential treatment for men and women struggling with substance abuse and eating disorders. This is one of the only 73 (10.9 percent) non-hospital facilities in the state where medical detoxification services are offered on-site, and one of the just 358 (53.6 percent) where treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders is available. Clients from across the country undergo rehabilitation at the Recovery Village’s main facility in Umatilla, as well as in additional Florida, California, and Washington locations.

According to the facility's website, intake begins with a thorough bio-psychosocial assessment. Detox is typically followed by up to 45 days of residential or day treatment, continued outpatient treatment, transitional living as needed, and individualized aftercare. Some clients may receive medication assisted therapy.

Progress toward a goal of holistic health comes through a program that combines evidence-based treatment modalities with experiential therapies. Programming includes education classes, as well as individual and group counseling sessions, which may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, 12-step meetings, meditation, equine therapy, nutritional counseling, gender-specific treatment, and fitness therapies.
