ABOUT RALLY POINT
A small facility located in West Palm Beach, Fla., Rally Point specializes in treating adult men struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The center offers a range of services to achieve “Addiction Recovery for Life”: partial hospitalization program (PHP) with community housing; intensive outpatient program (IOP) with optional housing; and outpatient program (OP) with optional housing as well.
Although detoxification services are not available on-site, Rally Point can refer clients to local providers. Within the state, Rally Point is among 24.6 percent of substance abuse treatment facilities with a PHP, 43 percent with an IOP, 76.9 percent that provide an OP, and among 44.2 percent with specially tailored programs for adult men.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Rally Point combines traditional 12-step meetings with holistic approaches into its programming. Clients participate in individual counseling, life skills training, and substance abuse education sessions. Holistic offerings include yoga, fitness training, music and art therapy, and acupuncture. Rally Point also emphasizes family involvement through therapy.
The most structured and robust level of treatment at the center is the PHP. Clients enrolled in the PHP engage in individual and group therapy for five to six hours each weekday, and sessions are conducted during the day and evening. Clients also attend at least one 12-step meeting each day and participate in group outings on the weekends. For additional support, clients may reside in the center’s Fortitude House in West Palm Beach and are transported to Wisdom Hall, the clinical office, for treatment.
Often, after completing the PHP, clients transition to the IOP, which is structured but requires less of a time commitment. Clients attend individual and group therapy for a minimum of nine hours per week which, over time, is reduced to three days per week. IOP participants have the option to stay at a Rally Point facility during this phase – either Victory House or Unity House.
OP clients attend one or more group therapy session per week, as well as an individual session with their counselor. They may reside at home or at either Victory House or Unity House and typically return to work or school during this phase while they continue treatment. Sessions are available on weekdays and weekends.
Once clients have completed treatment, they may attend aftercare activities, which include local support group meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities.
