TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
New clients receive a comprehensive assessment that determines their specific needs. The center can also provide psychological evaluation and testing, when necessary. Treatment takes place through individual, group, and family counseling, and the center can also provide medication evaluations and medication management services, when necessary.
The substance misuse program is divided into six phases. In each phase, clients must complete a written assignment that is read by staff and then presented by the client to their peers in recovery. The phases are as follows:
Phase one: Incentive. Clients identify their personal motivation for getting and staying sober. Phase two: Awareness. Clients work to gain insight about themselves and their addictions. Phase three: Support. Clients build and use a nurturing sober support network. Phase four: Vigilance. Clients identify triggers and build a relapse-prevention plan. Phase five: Preparation. Clients prepare a thorough discharge plan. Phase six: Accountability. Clients receive continued support and accountability from the center after discharge.
C.H.A.N.C.E.'s treatment team includes certified substance abuse professionals and master’s level mental health professionals.
