The halfway house is not safe for kids. They need structure, meals, sleep and substance abuse treatment. Please, please don\'t let your child go downhill there! I was warned by other moms, They were correct...kids free to call who they want to of course that is their using friends. My child transferred to a new facility, tested positive for drugs when he arrived directly from bed to bed transfer. He had been smoking a pack a day there and weed. I worry about the other boys there. I am so thankful to see what true substance abuse treatment is. I know in my moms heart and gut we would have lost him there. He is physically healthy again, working on using. He looked worse when we took him out of there than he did 7 months earlier when he went there sad.

Strengths: Close to home, different familities in the area for different age groups/needs. Weaknesses: Cost. They were great. You can only do so much if a person doesn't want to actually use the help.

IF YOU ARE WILLING AND WANT TO QUIT ITS A GREAT P;LACE. IF IT IS COURT ORDERED OR FAMILY FORCES THEM NO MATTER HOW WELL FACILITY IS IT WONT WORK. THEY HAVE A GOOD PLAN TO HELPING ADDICTS ITS MUCH DIFFERENT THEN AA BUT WILL ONLY HELP IF PATIENT IS WILLING.

They worked to make sure that each family could afford the treatment. Lack of training for all counselors. Little oversight. I would question if their treatment protocols were best practices. There are better treatments available.
