The Healing Place - Women and Children's Campus
When I first learned about The Healing Place I was told that they "break you down there". But then the person said "But they do it so they can build you back up again. " I was incarcerated at the time and was offered parole along with rehab at The Healing Place. I signed my serve out papers instead and chose to stay in jail. We months latter I was released on Mandatory Reentry Supervision (MRS) and was sent to The Healing Place because I didn't have anywhere to go. I truly believe that was God doing for me what I couldn't do for myself. That was in 2014. I didn't do the program until 2016 but The Healing Place and the people there changed my life. They also helped SAVE my life. They didn't break me down, I was already broken by the drugs and alcohol and trips to jail. They DID help build me back up again. I'm so very grateful for this place. Is it perfect? No. And I don't believe ANY rehab that you find will be perfect. The program is not an easy program. Many will not be able to do it, but if you give it your all and concentrate on the things they teach you, you WILL get results. I love this place and the people there and I am so grateful for the life that I have now and the help I received from The Healing Place.

Staff are knowledgeable and caring. A lot of extracurricular activities and the ability to attend outside meetings. Provide a family and bonding atmosphere. Lack of communication among staff, and kinks in schedule. Great experience with Landmark Recovery of Louisville. Had phenomenal progress. Facility can be more thorough during the admissions process.
