The Four Absolutes –Honesty, Unselfishness, Love, and Purity and the guiding keys of the Beatitudes were the basics of the Oxford Group from which AA and other 12-steps programs originated. Woodlake Addiction Recovery Center parallels the founding Oxford absolutes, the keys or attitudes to happiness, and the guiding principles of the 12 Step Programs into the four phases of their treatment.

The workers don’t smile. They make it seem like a concentration camp and everyone is in it. Not welcoming at all. I get tough love. But I also believe in a happy God that would want the recovery to feel like you are loved. My son had to go a week without the things he ordered because they lost his order. I am surprised he went on to live a sober life. He must have been really ready. Because this place would make a sober person wanna drink. It’s a shame because they take your money. And you expect a good experience. I guess my husband I should have shopped around more. We came all the way from north Louisiana because we read the reviews in the site. I pray they read This and learn to add love to their roster. Frances

All the staff from Doctors all the way to the Health Techs are just wonderful. They treat everyone with kindness, respect and with no judgment. I graduated from the facility with all the tools and motivation to continue my recovery in my own community.

Our son was there for 30 day. We found the care was subpar. Staff is very easily manipulated. Too many former patients running the place. The facilities are filthy ! Bird poop all over the windows in the dining area. Bed Bugs, dirty cabins. The food is marginal at best. Also, there was a box in the woods where people could drop off cell phones for patients. The management needs a serious turnover. It used to be an excellent treatment facility. Not sure what has happened. Did not know how bad it was until he went to another facility with excellent staff, clean facilities and professional counselors and employees.

Woodlake saved me at a time when I wasn’t sure I wanted that. I came in after 18 years in Recovery and a 4 year relapse. I was the oldest woman there and the other women embraced me and loved me when I couldn’t do it myself. Thank god for the gorgeous grounds, my counselor. BTW- still clean,
