Warwick Manor Behavioral Health (WMBH) provides inpatient addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment, in East New Market, Maryland. We also provide a sheltered living program for persons who are in the partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs. In service of its mission, Warwick Manor Behavioral Health, Inc. provides high quality, effective addiction treatment services to residents of Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., and portions of Virginia. These services shall include a continuum of treatment components that provide specialized care to meet the needs of various consumer groups. Located around 10 miles outside of Cambridge, Md., Warwick Manor Behavioral Health offers residential and outpatient treatment for adults struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. The facility also provides medical detox, which is a service available in just 6.1 percent of non-hospital, residential treatment facilities in Maryland.


Warwick Manor accepts clients referred from various sources, including health professionals, courts, and social services. All clients are assessed upon admission to determine the appropriate level of treatment.

The facility uses a centralized case management system in order to ensure comprehensive, individualized treatment. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, relapse prevention training, art therapy, and recovery skills groups.

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are also available, as is medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which includes Suboxone and methadone, the latter of which is a pharmacotherapy offered by 18.9 percent of treatment facilities in the state.

Outpatient options include a partial hospitalization program (PHP), which is a treatment level available in just 13.3 percent of facilities in Maryland, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and standard outpatient services.

The majority of former clients polled by Rehabs.com to date (eight out of 12) gave Warwick Manor positive feedback, praising the facility for its effective treatment and caring staff. "I loved Warwick Manor," Sarah wrote in a representative review. "It was beautiful there an they were all a very great staff."

The minority of alumni who left negative feedback complained about a lack of amenities, insufficient mental health care, and overstaffing. "The certified counselors are so over worked that i was in the facility for 3 days before i ever met him," one alum wrote.

The facility fared well on secondary sites, earning an average rating of 3.7 out of five stars based on 35 Google reviews[1] and a 4.6 out of five star rating based on the opinions of 39 people on Facebook[2].


J.P., the one loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave Warwick Manor negative feedback. She complained about the attitude of the staff, noting that they were rude when she took her sister out of the program AMA (against medical advice) due to a medical condition. She also described the facility as "filthy."


According to the facility’s website, Warwick Manor accepts most commercial insurance plans, along with Maryland and Delaware Medicaid. In 2018, 66 percent of facilities in the country accepted Medicaid. Self payment options are also available.
