ABOUT RECOVERING CHAMPIONS
Based in the Cape Cod town of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, Recovering Champions offers residential and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients receive a comprehensive assessment upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care. Residential treatment is 12-step based and includes one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and educational workshops, along with holistic activities such as yoga, meditation, as well as art and music therapy.
Outpatient options include a day program, which meets six hours a day and is a level of treatment offered by 14 percent of facilities across the country, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which meets for three hours per day, is a treatment level offered by 46 percent of facilities nationwide.
Medication-assisted therapy (MAT), less intensive outpatient treatment (OP), and family counseling are also available. The facility also provides medication management for psychiatric disorders, which is a service offered by 45 percent of all U.S. treatment facilities.
According to the center’s website, the staff includes master’s-level therapists and social workers, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, and case managers. To date, the five individuals polled by Rehabs.com on the matter appreciated the staff's aptitude.

According to a Cape Cod Times article from 2015, the residential facility has 50 beds. Photographs of this converted motor lodge and of the outpatient treatment center depict warm and serene settings with modern furnishings. Alumni who were happy with their experience described the rehab as a life-changing treatment program with compassionate staff and individualized care. The food is great is the staff is great. This place has plenty to do and see," John wrote in a representative review.

K.C., the sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date, indicated that they would recommend the program highly and awarded it five out of five stars for its counseling options, its treatment of co-occurring disorders, its staff's level of training and experience, and its family participation. "The fact that they involve the families in the recovery process is great," they noted.
WHAT STAFF SAY
Of the three staff members polled by Rehabs.com to date, two left positive feedback and one offered a negative review. The two positive reviewers noted they would recommend the facility highly and awarded it five out of five stars for its counseling options, its treatment of co-occurring disorders, and its cleanliness. "Clients gain the skills to go back out into the world and not revert back to old habits," one staff member wrote.
The one negative reviewer complained about high staff turnover and echoed alumni complaints about inappropriate relationships between clients and staff.
According to the facility's website, most private insurance plans, including ones from Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, are accepted.
