Blue Hills staff is attentive and caring. They really helped me. I didn't think therapy would work for me but I was wrong. This facility helped me and I am grateful.
I can't say enough about Spring Hill Recovery Center but in the interest of brevity and in no particular order: 1. The facilities are top shelf. 2. The food was way better than what I expected. 3. Having a well equipped gym to work out in was clutch and helped my recovery. 4. The staff was remarkable and caring. Specifically: A. Marcus is a tremendous asset to SH. All of his lectures/seminars were interesting and enlightening. His passion for what he does is clearly evident. B. My clinician Chelsea was caring and compassionate. C. Sarah showed exemplary professionalism and understanding from a placement and business standpoint. She put me at ease, thoroughly explained the program and accurately set my expectations. D. Nabil is energetic, smart and willing to listen. SH is fortunate to have him captaining the ship. He is a true leader. E. John is not only a knowledgeable nurse, but his personality and friendliness made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. F. Mo, Nick, Doug and Jeff did the tough job of tracking my whereabouts courteously. They allowed me to maintain my dignity during a humbling time.
I have had the need to visit detox/rehab facilities many times over the last 15 or so years. In all those years and many attempts at getting sober, one facility has stood out as my “go to” facility of choice. Adcare is my “old standby” for many reasons. Their transportation department will work with you to facilitate your pickup ANYWHERE you may find yourself (I mean in MA in rural NH, even in some cases Maine,) It’s staff, which are knowledgeable, compassionate, courteous (and largely themselves in recovery) are second to none. The facility itself, while old (the first detox hospital in the state, then called “Doctors Hospital “) is clean, well kept and comfortable. The food is above average and their dietary team will work with you to meet any and all dietary need. Their rehab counselors run groups that are more than worksheets and “addiction theory “ many bringing their own lived experience in addiction and recovery to the table and facilitate the kind of conversation that actually have an impact on subjects that matter. Their discharge planning and placement staff work extremely hard to make sure that every person looking to move on to further treatment get that opportunity. All in all I couldn’t have better things to say about this facility. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of treatment for themselves or a loved one. Adcare has on more than one occasion SAVED MY LIFE and I recommend it above all others,
