AFR is the BEST! I won\'t lie, when I first arrived there I was completely resentful. I was an intervention and was very angry. I figured it was just like jail, stuck in a building, no phone, horrible food, stupid rules. Although that wasn\'t it at all. You can use the phone to talk to loved ones and friends, the food was REALLY GOOD, and the rules, well I thought they were stupid at first, but found they really do help with daily living once you graduate. I tried to leave on multiple occasions, although with some talking to case managers, counselors, and some clients who were just about to graduate, I decided to stay. Best decision I\'ve ever made. My case manager helped me sign up for college and get financial aid while I was getting sober. Something I never thought I\'d end up doing. I learned why I could have even started doing drugs by doing my steps. My counselor helped me build a better relationship with my parents, which was great because they\'ve helped me so much since I graduated. As angry as I was in the beginning I\'m very lucky to have so many people care about me and fight for my sobriety. 7 months drug free has never felt so good!
