ABOUT OAKDALE RECOVERY CENTER
Located in Canton, Mich., halfway between Detroit and Ann Arbor, Oakdale Recovery Center is a private for-profit rehab facility, one of the 162 facilities in Michigan. The facility offers a full continuum of treatment services for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, including detox, short-term residential, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient programs.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Many of Oakdale Recovery Center’s clients begin their treatment process in the detox program. Clients stay in detox for up to five daysand complete a rapid detox process. During detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided to help clients minimize withdrawal symptoms. Once detox is complete, many clients move into the residential program.
A short-term residential program is designed to quickly establish sober living habits before moving to a less-structured form of treatment. Clients are monitored at all times and have access to the medical and psychiatric staff members.
The outpatient programs offer a semi-structured environment where clients begin to use their sober living skills outside of the treatment facility. Transportation services are offered to ensure that clients attend services, which is available in roughly 43% of nationwide facilities.
Treatment is based on the 12-step model of recovery, and all levels of care include individual, group, and family counseling. Clients work with case managers to develop individualized treatment plans and assessments. Medication management and psychiatric assessments are available when needed, and clients participate in aftercare planning near the end of the treatment process.
The treatment team at Oakdale Recovery Center includes certified advanced alcohol and drug counselors (CAADCs), licensed professional counselors (LPCs), and master’s level social workers. The facility is one of the 28% of facilities across the country that are CARF accredited, and it is licensed by the State of Michigan.
