Treatment Philosophy
WHAT WE OFFER Ohio Recovery Center’s 55-acre campus in northwest Ohio offers a private, peaceful setting for recovering from addiction, depression, anxiety disorders, and other mental health disorders. Compassionate, client-centered care focusing on evidence-based treatment options and a whole-person approach serves as the cornerstone of our residential programs. During your treatment stay, enjoy the healing benefits of nature on our forested campus, nutritious home-cooked meals, and cozy, gender-specific residences. Addiction Treatment Options We provide comprehensive treatment and a compassionate recovery community for adults facing drug and alcohol addiction. Our specialists can also identify and treat co-occurring disorders such as depression, PTSD, OCD, and others. After your recovery needs are determined through a biopsychosocial assessment, treatment typically begins with medical detox, followed by entry into our residential program. Our master’s-level therapists will help identify the root causes of your addiction, including unaddressed trauma, and provide you with the tools necessary for long-term recovery. Aftercare planning and an alumni program offer continued support following treatment. Mental Health Treatment Options Adults facing a mental health crisis can find the care and support they need for stabilization and long-term recovery at ORC. Our residential mental health program also serves as a step-down following inpatient treatment. Your care starts with a full evaluation to determine your unique treatment needs. We provide stabilization services to ensure your safety and restore balance, followed by residential treatment lasting approximately two weeks. Our medication management services help determine if you would benefit from medication or if your current medication is providing the desired outcomes. Evidence-based therapies provide the tools you need to manage mental health symptoms in the long term.

Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center

It's great and it has everything you need to recover in an inpatient facility. The boarding /beds are old and musty. The rooms are all musty in the sleeping areas but the rest of the rooms aren't. I had a fun and knowledgeable experience at sacred heart and would go back to it if I had to ! It's like a camp for junkies ^-^

Best Drug Rehab is truly the best place you could send someone who’s addicted to drugs. My brother went there last year and he’s changed so much in that time. He went from shooting heroin to helping people get off heroin. Went from manipulating my mom out of money or just stealing money from our parents to working hard to get them paid back. He hasn’t paid them back completely but he sends them money from every paycheck he gets and he’s proud of the fact that he’s able to do it. He’s taken so much from my parents that to see him trying so hard to make up for it is amazing. I had stopped talking to him 2 years before he went to BDR. I was just sick of watching him ruin his life and when he stole a bunch of money from our parents I was just done. He started writing me letters when he got out detox at BDR. I was worried the first time I got one of his letters because every rehab he’s gone to before going to BDR all he did was complain about them. He hated being at them or he hated the people or the staff weren’t nice, it was always something and so I was expecting the same thing from him this time. However, I could tell that BDR was different for him. He told me that the detox he went through wasn’t too bad and that the detox staff really helped him get through it fairly comfortably. He loved the staff there and throughout his programs the letters continued to praise the program and the people working there. While he was there he told me that he had decided that he wanted to do the same thing with his life. He wanted to work there and help people get off drugs. That was a shock for me as I didn’t think he’d ever be that intent on helping others. He got to choose the program he did at BDR. He talked with his counselor about it of course the decision of how he was going to help himself get off drugs was ultimately up to him and that made a huge difference for him. He told me that when he decided on the program he was going to do was when he made the decision to really do that program and get sober for good. He started playing the guitar again. He was always playing when we were growing up but he sold his guitar to get heroin and so stopped playing. They have a music room at BDR where he spent most of his free time. By the time my brother finished his program we were talking on the phone again and I was so happy to have my brother back in my life. He is back at BDR working and he’s doing amazing. I don’t worry about him so much anymore and I know that he’s doing something he loves. It’s been such a great year with my brother and just knowing that he’s going to continue to do good is pretty awesome.
