Serenity Point Recovery Center
Serenity Point Recovery has changed my life. When I got here I was unwilling to surrender and change my life. I knew I was miserable and unhappy but I felt like I didn't care. Since starting the program I've grown to realize who I am and find things I actually enjoy doing. I've found that I can work well with others and found hobbies that I genuinely have interests in. I am beginning to find myself and my self-worth, realizing I have potential. I can now do all these things with out the use of drugs and alcohol. I think the groups I got the most out of here were AA/NA, Native 12 Steps, Relapse Prevention, Coping Skills, and Relationships. I gained ways to cope with my emotions instead of avoiding them or isolating because I didn't want to feel them. I have found I have learned that the people I associate my self with and spend time with affect my whole life and that I have to change my toxic relationships with everyone for my own good and theirs. I found that even on my worst days , with the help of others in recovery and the groups here and outside of here I can get through without using. To me this is all new. I've been sober before, in and out of treatment, but this time I actually feel strong enough to succeed. I know that the people here at SPR actually care about my and believe in my. With out Serenitys staff and all the clients like me I would still m\be miserable and giving up on my life. Today I have a whole new look on life and my future.
