Great Lakes Rehabilitation Center

Best Drug Rehabilitation has been a great program for me and I want to be able to share my experience with others in hopes that it will be what they need to make the first step into their recovery process. When I first got here I did not think that it was going to be of any help to me. I soon realized that it was unlike anything that I thought it was going to be. I first went through he detox process and I knew right off the bat that it was going to be the most difficult foe me. I can at least say that while it was a hard thing to go through it was a very good medical detox and the staff was able to keep me comfortable. It was not east but I knew that it would not be going into this and detox is the hardest part, at least it was for me. Several types of counseling are available most common are individual or group based. For me I really like the group based because while listening to other peoples stories it really gave me the courage and motivation to be able to talk about some of my own issues that I was going through on a day to day basis. I did really have to come up with things to talk about on my own or feel pressure to talk just by myself because we are all talking together. For those of you that like one on one counseling that is available as well. They also have something called art therapy and this was something that I have never heard of before, but once I tried it I can really see how it helps both during and after the drug recovery process. All of the staff here is exceptional and everything that they do is tailored to really help everyone that comes their way. I have been clean and sober for a year now and I am daily using the tools that they have taught me while being there. Give this place a try and you wont regret it;)

I attended the first time only 3 weeks. I relapsed after 2 1/2 months. The second time, I stayed 6 weeks, and it has been 5 1/2 months with no relapse.
