Addiction Treatment Services - Dakoske Hall
Evey day at the D-House was the best day ever. Loving staff that truly care about you and the food is simply the very best. Very nice rooms with plenty of storage with comfy beds. Movie nights, volleyball, outside fire pit, ping pong, corn hole, horse shoes, gardening, they even took us bowling. Excellent groups to open up. Very safe place to get the best help. For me its a magic house. Forever changed my life.
A Forever Recovery
I have to give a shout out to all of the staff at the A Forever Recovery program. I was struggling with Heroin for a long time. I was in denial about getting help because I thought that I could control my addiction, but it turned out that I could not do it on my own. Everything about this place is top notch and the staff is very well trained. We have individual classes and there are so many classes to choose from and I like the fact that I was able to choose what direction I wanted to take. They all helped me to understand why I was using and how I got here. The detox is great and the fact that it was a medical detox was even better because they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. They have a work out room and that helped me get a lot of my strength and energy back. It was a really peaceful setting and I loved that fact that we could take walks and do things a a group as well as do things individually on our own as well. I can not say enough good things about this center and I think that if you are struggling or know anyone who is that this would be a good place for you to check out. I could not even remember what it felt like to be clean and sober before coming here and now that I graduated and am sober I owe it to them for being clean for the last 6 months.
Serenity Point Recovery Center
Serenity Point Recovery has changed my life. When I got here I was unwilling to surrender and change my life. I knew I was miserable and unhappy but I felt like I didn't care. Since starting the program I've grown to realize who I am and find things I actually enjoy doing. I've found that I can work well with others and found hobbies that I genuinely have interests in. I am beginning to find myself and my self-worth, realizing I have potential. I can now do all these things with out the use of drugs and alcohol. I think the groups I got the most out of here were AA/NA, Native 12 Steps, Relapse Prevention, Coping Skills, and Relationships. I gained ways to cope with my emotions instead of avoiding them or isolating because I didn't want to feel them. I have found I have learned that the people I associate my self with and spend time with affect my whole life and that I have to change my toxic relationships with everyone for my own good and theirs. I found that even on my worst days , with the help of others in recovery and the groups here and outside of here I can get through without using. To me this is all new. I've been sober before, in and out of treatment, but this time I actually feel strong enough to succeed. I know that the people here at SPR actually care about my and believe in my. With out Serenitys staff and all the clients like me I would still m\be miserable and giving up on my life. Today I have a whole new look on life and my future. I thank this facility and everyone here for helping me find hope and find a way out of my chaotic life style. Forever Grateful
