There ability to help you reinforce the strength to use the tools to stay sober They were a coed facility at the time and were unable to stop hooking up and I believe that took away from treatment. I absolutely loved being there for treatment. They made me feel safe and an addict has a lot of trust issues. There treatment program really works. At least it did for me.
Bear River Health at Walloon Lake
Bear River Health helped refresh the tools I had gained several years prior. I had a severe relapse with alcohol and as a single mom of 3 beautiful daughters I was miserable but physically couldn't stop drinking. The detox rooms were amazing and the nursing staff were beyond attentive and available to help me through the rough days. That was over 3 years ago. BRH teaches that there are many pathways to recovery as long as you have the willingness to do whatever it takes the tou can succeed too! Many of the staff members are recovering addicts/alcoholics which gives them a unique ability to understand and address your needs. The techs go above and beyond for the patients and help you with all the love and compassion they have. Bear River Health has been a desperately needed addition to the tip of the mitt!! So grateful they were here when I was headed for death. I feel blessed as an Alumni to have the opportunity to attend some meetings with current clients and show them it can be done and life is much more fun and enjoyable without drugs and alcohol. The Dr. was nice. Not much to do on down time. It is much better than many places in our area. The stay is too short, 8 day average.
