Rehabs 360 Guide

Tapestry is one of Meridian Behavioral Health’s (MBH) 18 residential and outpatient programs in Minnesota. Located in St. Paul, Minn., this facility, called Tapestry, offers residential addiction treatment for adult women. Tapestry takes a holistic approach in its treatment of women struggling with substance misuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Tapestry is one of 161 (42.6 percent) of facilities in Minnesota to offer specialized treatment tracks for adult women.

Tapestry builds individualized recovery plans from several treatment methods. The facility uses 12-step principles and programming that follows evidence-based treatments, such as motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), relapse prevention therapy, and health realization, a therapeutic approach focused on discovering the resilience of each client. Though MI and CBT are utilized by upwards of 90 percent of rehabs in Minnesota, DBT is used by only 61.9 percent, according to a 2018 SAMHSA survey.

According to the facility’s website, Tapestry also provides treatment for pregnant women, family programming, and programs that address anger management, trauma-related issues, and life/coping skills education.

The facility provides around-the-clock medical services and is staffed by professionals trained to provide psychiatric and psychological services. Staff members include Licensed Alcohol and Drugs Counselors (LADC), Recovery Access Specialists, and others. MBH facilities are certified by CARF, an accreditation held by 13.2 percent of rehabs in Minnesota.

There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings. However, three individuals surveyed by Rehabs.com gave mixed opinions concerning the facility's cleanliness, offering a one-, four-, and five-star rating for this survey metric.

The three alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com to date left mixed reviews. Reviewers tended to contradict one another. Though one anonymous reviewer wrote that the facility had "Had good exercise and leisure activities," a second one, A.T.S., wrote that "Needs more exercise equipment and opportunities to get fresh air."

Those these two reviewers left mixed reviews, a third alum, D., gave a highly negative feedback. writing "This place is a joke. None of the staff are on the same page, each just doing their own thing."

Reviews on Google were similarly mixed.[1] To date, Tapestry held an average rating of 2.5 stars out of five based on 29 reviews. One positive reviewer noted, "If you REALLY want to get sober and healthy you WILL!! The staff WILL HELP!!" However, many other reviewers complained about the facility, programming, and staff.

The lone loved one surveyed by Rehabs.com to date submitted a highly positive review, giving five stars to nearly all categories evaluated, including family participation, counseling options, the staff's experience and training, and the affordability of the program. "Counselors were caring and understanding, easy to relate to," the anonymous reviewer wrote.

MBH does not publish its fees online, but its website indicates that financing options are available through lending partners. Its HealthGrove page also notes that Medicaid and state insurance are both accepted, the former of which is accepted at 56.9 percent of rehabs in Minnesota.
