ABOUT HEALTH RECOVERY SERVICES – RURAL WOMEN’S RECOVERY PROGRAM

Nestled in the foothills of southeastern Ohio, Rural Women’s Recovery Program (RWRP) provides long-term, residential treatment for women struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. It's among the 46 percent of treatment facilities in the state to provide treatment tailored to women. In addition, the rehab is one of only 15 treatment facilities (just 3.7 percent of all facilities in the state) to allow young children (ages five and under) to stay with their mothers in residential treatment.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

To guide clinicians in forming an individualized plan of care, clients participate in an initial assessment before beginning treatment. RWRP blends evidence-based treatment methods with 12-step principles in the supportive setting of a therapeutic community.

RWRP is among the 17.4 percent of facilities in Ohio to provide residential programming that lasts longer than 30 days. The average length of stay is approximately 120 days.

Clients adhere to a structured schedule of group counseling, individual therapy sessions, and education classes on addiction., as well as attend multiple 12-step meetings weekly. Clients with co-occurring mental health disorders may also receive regular psychiatric evaluations, mental health counseling, and ongoing medication management to alleviate symptoms.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team includes medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, mental health and substance abuse counselors, social workers, family therapists, and social workers.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

RWRP's facility is set on 40 acres in a pastoral, therapeutic setting. Childcare services are available to clients, which is a service offered by only 12 percent of treatment facilities in Ohio.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

Two of the three former clients polled by Rehabs.com gave RWRP positive feedback. Both indicated that they would recommend the facility to others and awarded it four or five out of five stars for its cleanliness, its treatment of co-occurring disorders, and its staff's level of training and experience. "The employees here are wonderful," one alum wrote in a representative review.

The one negative reviewer gave RWRP two out of five stars for the overall quality of its individual counseling and complained that the program was not personalized. "I didn't feel connected to any of the counselors---I didn't feel like it was personal at all--they never knew me," they wrote.

RWRP received an average rating of 3.8 out of five stars based on four Google^[1], reviews and a 4.3 out of five-star rating based on the opinions of eight people on Facebook, which the facility may manage. Across both sites, the majority of alumni who left feedback praised the program for its effective treatment and nurturing environment. "This place saved my entire life! I was lost, broken and hopeless when I got there and by the time I left I was learning how to heal my mind, body and soul," Lindsay wrote in a representative review.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

B.J.P., the one loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date, gave RWRP positive feedback. She awarded the facility four or five out of five stars for its family involvement, its staff support, the overall quality of its mental health treatment, and the overall quality of its addiction treatment. She also reported that her loved one received "constant treatment and counseling."

FINANCING

RWRP accepts most private insurance plans, HMO’s (CareSource, Molina, and Unison), and Medicaid.
