    These specialty programs offer innovative treatment solutions for patients with particular needs so that women, licensed professionals, pain management patients, dual diagnosis patients, and relapse prevention patients can all find programs tailored to their special needs.
  • Women’s Services

    Treatment at Glenbeigh addresses the special needs of these women, which may include a history of trauma, domestic violence, self-esteem issues or shame created by the cultural bias toward addicted women. Glenbeigh provides alcohol and drug addicted women with an environment where they feel “safe” and comfortable talking about problems they may never have faced before. Special facilities and services for women in inpatient treatment and extended residential care include housing in a separate wing of the hospital where they have their own lounge areas to ensure privacy. Female therapists and all female counseling groups provide the opportunity to gain support from other women in order to deal with sensitive issues and begin the healing process.

An affiliate of Cleveland Clinic, Glenbeigh is a nonprofit organization that provides hospital-based inpatient and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The center in Rock Creek, Ohio, situated on 80 scenic acres of countryside, serves as the organization’s main campus, while outpatient services are available at a network of six facilities in Ohio and Pennsylvania. For those who need it, detoxification services are provided on-site at the Rock Creek location.


Glenbeigh's website notes treatment begins with a diagnostic evaluation and, if necessary, detoxification. Standard inpatient treatment lasts 30 days. For those who need extra help establishing a solid foundation for recovery, a specialized 90-day program is offered, as is extended care.

Dedicated tracks for women, individuals who have relapsed, licensed professionals (e.g. doctors and lawyers), and those dealing with chronic pain are also available. Additionally, the center runs a family education and support program on Sunday afternoons.

The backbone of most treatment plans includes individual counseling, group therapy, educational lectures, workshops, and 12-step work. Other therapeutic activities include yoga, Reiki, neuromuscular integrative action, art therapy, and workout sessions at the facility’s gym.


According to the facility’s website, the Rock Creek rehab employs a multidisciplinary staff of physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, certified chemical dependency counselors, licensed social workers, and members of the clergy.


Glenbeigh's website notes it's located on 80 acres of rural land, and the 172-bed facility has a large dining facility, a sauna and fitness center with full time fitness instructors, an outdoor walking trail, a volleyball and basketball court, an education center with a computer lab, and a meditation room.


The more than 20 former clients who were surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility gave mostly above-average ratings. The 21 alumni who evaluated the following metrics gave the facility average ratings of 4.19 out of five stars for its exercise and leisure activities, and 4.43 stars for its cleanliness and level of family participation.

The 20 former clients who evaluated the facility’s counseling options and staff’s level of training and experience gave average ratings of 3.45 and 4.45 stars, respectively. When asked, on a scale of one to five, how likely they were to recommend the facility to others, 20 survey respondents provided an average rating of 4.5.

Lower ratings went to the facility’s holistic offerings and affordability, which received 3.05 and 3.19 out of five stars, respectively. “It was an overall great facility but they need more holistic options and it was very expensive,” wrote an anonymous alum in a representative review.


The 16 loved ones gave 3.94 out of five stars when asked if they would recommend Glenbeigh. They rated the staff's level of training and experience the highest with 4.13 stars, but they rated holistic offerings the worst with 2.92 stars.

“It seemed like a good environment and it was nice they allowed family to get involved,” an anonymous loved one wrote.

Another loved ones wrote they handle dual-diagnosis well and provide great aftercare.


Of the four staff members surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, three provided four out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, and one indicated they wouldn't recommend Glenbeigh. All staff member provided mixed feedback.

For instance, one anonymous former employee said that the staff was “caring and well-intentioned,” but that clients “could have benefited from better follow-up after release.”


Rates start at $1,317.05 per day and $28,000 for 90 days. The facility also accepts private insurance. The 21 alumni who evaluated the facility’s affordability to date gave it an average rating of 3.19 out of five stars.
