This facility offers a very therapeutic setting. Working to meet the goals of each individual client. The majority of the staff is very professional and seems genuinely concerned about the treatment of their patients. It offers good meals and recreational actives. Plus strong lectures by recovering addicts/alcoholics. Glenbeigh provided a great educational awareness about the disease concept. I have been to 12 treatment centers across the county and even though this one is not perfect. I think it was the best and I would recommend it to a loved one. There is not individual counseling its all done by groups. The counselor meets with you individual very briefly to check your progress. However, there is a lack of individual attention.
They have a very strong drug program. Little weak on drinking problems. Had to go to this place a part of my drug conviction treatment was in house 60 days it taught me a lot have been clean ever since
Strengths: Zero Tolerance for things that might distract one from healthy recovery. Education, and participation. Staff. Weaknesses: Need more funding to further improve the facility...and to give the staff and clients more options in their everyday routine. Get outside of facility more. More regular individual counseling sessions. Im very glad i chose to go and so grateful for Devlac Hall. As you can imagine, it's difficult to adjust to any treatment program at first, but its so worth it!! You learn to take it (life) a day at a time, and learn a ton about yourself. You leave so empowered and proud of yourself that you stuck with it and most importantly, grew through it!! Recovery is a journey and if you really want it, they give you the tools and skills you need to have it! You CAN enjoy a life in recovery! Give yourself a chance... :) miracles don't usually happen overnight but they do happen, believe me.
