ABOUT LANDMARK RECOVERY OF OKLAHOMA
Landmark Recovery of Oklahoma is dedicated to helping individuals and families struggling with substance use (SUD) and mental health disorders across four distinct locations in Oklahoma and Kentucky. One of just eight (4.2 percent of) facilities in the state to offer medical detoxification services, one of 97 (50.8 percent) that hold CARF accreditation) , Landmark Recovery of Oklahoma City offers a full continuum of care options, from detox and residential inpatient treatment to various levels of outpatient and aftercare.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All Landmark Recovery treatment programs start with an initial screening process that makes use of ASAM criteria to determine an appropriate level of care. According to the center’s website, Landmark Recovery “exists to assist each patient in the development of a lifestyle that is permanently free from all mind and mood altering substances.” As such, the holistic treatment process supports healing and recovery through the development of strong, trusting relationships between clients and their assigned clinicians.
Clients seeking intensive therapy in a structured environment may be recommended for residential inpatient treatment, and, depending on the severity of their usage history, medical detoxification. While the residential program is designed to be 30 days in length, participants may have their stay extended or shortened depending on their condition and progress made. Those seeking a more flexible level of care can opt for intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalization (PHP) care, the latter accounting for one of only eight (4.2 percent of) programs of its kind statewide.
Treatment itself consists of individual and group therapy sessions, 12-step support meetings, and SMART Recovery and Seeking Safety modalities. Sessions are led by master’s level clinicians experienced in cognitive behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavior (DBT) therapies. Where appropriate, family visitation and programming takes place on specific days and times. Successful program graduates have access to follow-up care for up to five years following their discharge. Ultimately, Landmark Recovery of Oklahoma City believes that the success of its program lies in its capacity “to help patients stabilize, achieve and maintain abstinence” from all harmful/mind-altering substances.
Landmark Recovery employs master’s level clinicians and an intake nurse who sees all patients for an initial screening and assessment process. The center is also one of only 27 (14.1 percent of) Joint Commission accredited facilities in Oklahoma.
