ABOUT WISE CARING

Located in southern Oregon, toward the north of the city of Medford, Wise Caring is an individually operated, private counseling office for individuals and families struggling with substance use disorder. Wise Caring treats clients on an outpatient basis, using a proprietary treatment approach. It's one of the 30.5 percent of addiction treatment facilities in Oregon that operate as private for-profits, and one of 194 providers of standard outpatient treatment in the state.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Wise Caring's proprietary treatment method is called the Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought. The center proposes that these three elements account for all addiction, and that by understanding and working with them, individuals can end their addiction.

Wise Caring appears to treat addiction only, positioning it among the 48.2 percent of Oregon-based facilities that do not offer special programming for dual diagnosis. The center encourages individuals to look at addiction as an opportunity to transform their lives for the better.

According to the facility's website, the approach is designed to instill significant changes in clients, including decreasing feelings of anger, fear, judgment, and powerlessness, along with a shift in how they view their loved ones and their addiction.

Wise Caring also emphasizes helping the families of people struggling with addiction to channel their love and help in the most productive way possible.Counseling Sessions can be conducted in person or via Skype.
