ABOUT PYRAMID HEALTHCARE, INC. - BELLEVILLE
Founded in 1999, Pyramid Healthcare provides a range of treatment and recovery services for adults and adolescents at centers across New Jersey, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Its Belleville center is one of the organization's facilities in Central Pennsylvania, and is one of the 143 (28.5 percent) of Pennsylvania treatment facilities that offers residential treatment. This simple, no-frills location offers residential treatment for adult men struggling with substance abuse including short-term, long-term, and partial hospitalization programs.
To be eligible for admission, clients must be mentally stable. Detoxification services are not available at the Belleville facility, but are offered at other Pyramid Healthcare locations, including those in Pittsburgh and Altoona.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to Pyramid Healthcare's website, Belleville programs use the 12-Step model while also creating a highly structured and individualized treatment plan for each client. Pyramid Healthcare is one of the 255 (50.8 percent) of Pennsylvania facilities that offers treatment to individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders.
Programming includes individual counseling, group therapy, therapeutic recreation, and daily Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings. Life skills education, another key program component, prepares clients for a successful, sober life beyond program completion.
Additionally, the facility offers legal assistance to clients. The staff coordinates matters related to probation and court requests. The program meets the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria (PCPC) for short-term, long-term, and partial hospitalization inpatient levels of care.
Pyramid Healthcare's website notes its treatment team includes a licensed practical nurse, a certified nurse practitioner, and a psychiatrist.
The center is one of the 151 (30.1 percent) of Pennsylvania treatment facilities that is accredited by CARF.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The Belleville residence has the look of a large, suburban home. According to the facility’s website, most clients can expect to share a bedroom with one other resident. A small workout area with gym equipment is available, and clients are permitted to smoke in designated areas. Residents receive three meals per day.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The one alum polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave positive feedback for Pyramid Healthcare - Belleville. They gave five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, accommodations and amenities, and meals and nutrition.
"Definitely a good place. I got help here an now live a better life," the alum wrote.
Of the three people to leave reviews on its unofficial Facebook page, two people gave five out of five stars, and one person gave one star. 
To date, the five people to leave Google Reviews gave an average of 2.2 out of five stars, and mixed feedback. While some individuals wrote the center saved their life, others noted it was a "horrible place." 
WHAT STAFF SAY
Rehabs.com has not yet received employee reviews of Pyramid Healthcare in Belleville. However, the 156 people who left reviews on Indeed gave an average of 3.1 out of five stars. Reviews are for all Pyramid Healthcare facilities, not just the Belleville location. 
Staffers wrote mixed feedback. Some individuals noted they would never recommend the program, while others praised the center, calling it a lovely place.
Pyramid Healthcare accepts most private insurance plans, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, ComPsych, Optum, and United Healthcare. It also takes state or county funding, medical assistance, and self-payment in the form of cash, personal check, and credit card. The facility also will work with unions and Employee Assistance Programs.
