Harmony House Recovery House

12 Ring Lane , Levittown, Pennsylvania, 19055
Harmony House is a recovery house that provides men with a supportive, clean and sober living environment. Through taking responsibility and learning to live in harmony with self and others, a lasting recovery is possible. Harmony House is primarily a setting for high functioning individuals age 25 and over. We view addiction as a chronic illness requiring long-term support and management. We assist men in learning to manage their disease and in building a foundation for lasting recovery. We believe in utilizing state of the art approaches in addressing addictions, including a supportive, success based approach and a weekly relapse prevention group. The use of Suboxone and anti-craving medications are supported where appropriate, with secure storage and monitoring of medication compliance. Most psychiatric medications are accepted. In our experience, relapse is often associated with untreated co-occurring mental illness, such as depression or anxiety. Trauma, grief, and medical issues are also common issues contributing to relapse. Due to the seriousness and complexity addictions, participation in outpatient treatment is required. At Harmony House, we work in cooperation with treatment and medical professionals to help residents prevent relapse and develop a lifestyle that supports physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. We do not provide treatment services.

  • Client & Family Support Groups

Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
  • 12-Step

The term “12 Step Program” describes a way to recover from addiction that is based on the model developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. Many drug and alcohol treatment centers base their treatment on 12 steps – the first three of which are situational, the next four addressing the practical issues created by the addiction, followed by two steps focused on making amends for hurting others. Steps 10 and 11 involve a deeper examination of the previous steps and the final step is focused on helping others avoid and recover from addiction.
