Malvern Institute, Malvern

Changed my life! Started me on the road to sobriety. I had a very positive and effective experience. The staff was knowledgable and caring. I didn't know much about addiction prior to entering treatment. I learned a lot during my stay, and twelve years later, (and nine years clean & sober), still look back with admiration on the staff. I attend meetings, have a sponsor, and sponsor other women. I've pursued certification in addictions counseling, and hope to finish within a year. I want to be able to help others due to my years of sobriety, and the help of the counselors at M.I.

I was a client at avenues for 6 months. I found it to be professionally run by caring people. Right now I have 1 year clean with more to go.my counselor was crummy but all the others were good, don't worry he has since left.the living arrangements were fine and the food they provided was sufficient. You cooked for yourself. When the young guys cooked you got hot dogs and burgers .when the older ones cooked you ate salmon, pork shoulders, pork chops etc. It was hit or miss but never bad. Plus you could make what you wanted. The patient techs were good and helpful. One in particular pat would literally go to the ends of the earth to help you. Gotta love the guys genuiness and caring demeanor. The housing manager devin was really good also. Sadly I've been in quite a few rehabs and I would rate avenues an 8 out of 10. I would recommend it to family and friends. I learned alot there which helps me now.you can only get better coming here. Jamie lorber
