Pyramid Healthcare Quakertown Men'S Inpatient

I was recently there at Quakertown and I have to say that most of the negative reviews I read were pretty accurate. There were a few of the staff members there that genuinely cared about people. However, when I informed staff that I wanted to use the phone to arrange a ride home because I would. not be subjected any longer to their ridiculous rules and absolute bombardment of clients with constant groups, I was told no, I could NOT use the phone to arrange for transportation and when I became angry about it and raised my voice, the director, Jessie Francis told me he was calling the police on me. This was after about 11 staff members surrounded me like I was about to be taken to the ground and subdued. Very unprofessional. Granted my behavior was less than acceptable, but I would expect the staff, ESPECIALLY the director to exhibit just a tad more patience and tolerance when ir came to their clients. I mean, we DO keep them working, correct? And medication is given out basically whenever they get around to it. I didn\'t receive my medicine at the same time of day the entire time I was there. And its supposed to be taken at the same time, daily. They need at least another, maybe two more nurses to run the medical department efficiently. The poor woman that worked on the weekend was so swamped with medication that she didn\'t have time to eat lunch on the weekend. Overall, the techs were really good, but they had to follow the facility\'s ridiculous schedule, which caused animosity and dissention amongst the clients. Plus you\'re made to wake up at 7 a.m., not allowed to have coffee when you get up, then go straight to a group as soon as you brush your teeth. Then you eat, and guess what? Yup, another group. And another one after that. And another one. Totally burns you out. It sucked all around.

I would not recommend this rehab to anyone. My son left early and someone stole all his clothes brand new hats shoes and slippers. The staff stole his hair clippers and new bottle of cologne the supervisor name jessie is an arrogant ass spoke so rudely to us. After i asked for a corporate number he said he owns the rehab. I wouldnt allow my animals to be under the care of that man.

I lost 15 pounds here. There were cats crawling everywhere outside the window. Wasn\'t the best food.

I would not recommend sending your child here. The facility is extremely disorganized, poor nutritional foods (and hardly fed), and poor accommodations. You only sit there reading articles/filling out worksheets, rather than learning hands-on with learning to grow mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. You are fed 3 times a day (one plate per person with no seconds) and only 2 snacks per day. During the weekends you mainly sit and watch movies (by the way, no source of exercising as well). Nothing involved with recovering. The schooling is poor. Everything about this facility is terrible (from personal experience). After relapsing, I went to Caron Treatment Center in Wernersville, PA. Best decision I ever made. It was heaven compared to this facility. Do not send your child here! Send your child/loved one to Caron! Best regards.
