Strengths include: Caring and helpful staff -very structured days -lots of groups and lectures during the day -family therapy -The Day of Enlightenment lecture to educate family members on addiction -very clean -the food is good. -there is gym and outside walking track that can be used by patients. -the houses that patients stay in are nice. -daily 12 step meetings -patients go out into community for a 12 step meeting. -spiritual counseling from a non-denominational reverend for those people who want to speak to a clergy person. However, it's a 12 step approach and the 12 steps are not for everyone. All of the counselors and staff were great. I felt comfortable talking to them about anything, whether it is was about something serious or just small talk. Everyone made me feel welcome. The counselors and staff know all about addiction inside and out. I learned a lot from being there.
I’m a spouse of a resident at Clearbrook. Since the night he checked in, the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and willing to talk to me about his progress. His counselors, Boyer and Sean were always there to help me understand and navigate through the program and were more than willing to involve me in his recovery. I can’t say enough about Kevin, my family support person. He’d check in with me to see how I was doing and was there whenever I felt like I was struggling. The weekly family support meetings Jaime and her daughter Kayla held…words can’t express how grateful I am for them. Wednesdays meetings and the families that adopted me were and will forever be my lifeline. I couldn’t have been able to deal without them while he was in recovery. The encouragement and enlightenment I received is overwhelming. The words “keep coming back” are more powerful to me now than ever before and the love and support I received means so much. As the wife of someone with addiction, I can honestly say, if you want to be a part of a sincere and loving people who do not judge, but help, Clearbrook and the Banyan family is a community of kind and caring people unlike anything I could have ever imagined.
Little Creek stands out as one of the best facilities I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I know much of the staff and alumni personally and graduates of this program leave equipped with the tools to live a happy and sober life. I work in the treatment field and have seen very few facilities that quite match the care that Little Creek provides.
