Treatment Philosophy
Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

My faith in humanity has been restored by oxford treatment center staff and their genuine kindness. Music group, art group, equine groups, ropes and 12 step walk are totally the best. Loved the process group and morning all campus groups as well.

Cumberland Heights Drug & Alcohol Treatment - Nashville (River Road)

I’ve been sober for nearly 3 years since I was a cohort at Cumberland Heights. I happened to have very good health insurance which paid for everything at CH. I don’t regret CH but feel that their best attribute is the food which they really plug. Another positive attribute was my counselor, Kaitlin, who was awesome. The young men/staff members, former cohorts, who worked with us in the Auditorium, ad nauseum, were less than competent and these sessions turned into drudgery. These sessions were basically used to kill time as they had no substance. Additionally, as a member of the LGBTQ community, I felt ill at ease much of the time. My sexual orientation seemed to be so foreign to those staff members who were also in recovery, and who, at one point, bungled a group exercise, drawing attention to my sexuality in front of 60 strangers. It was just plain weird. I have suffered trauma in my life which certainly contributed to my using and drinking. My experience at CH was traumatizing. Thankfully, Kaitlin was so professional and kind that she helped me through this tough experience.
