ABOUT HILL COUNTRY DETOX
From a Mediterranean-style ranch nestled 25 miles southwest of Austin,Texas, Hill Country Detox - formerly known as Nova Recovery of Buda - offers luxury, sub-acute medical detox services for individuals struggling with addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. Just 8.7 percent (36) of 431 treatment facilities in Texas offer non-hospital, residential detox. Services at this facility are designed to monitor and support the safe and comfortable withdrawal from alcohol, opiates, methadone, benzodiazepines, or a combination of substances.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Hill Country Detox begins with a full assessment, including screening for co-occurring medical or mental health concerns. Each client follows an individualized program, for a length of stay appropriate to the individual’s needs.
During the early stages of withdrawal, most clients are medically monitored every four hours, and medical support is available 24/7. As needed, Hill Country’s physician prescribes Subutex and Suboxone, a medication provided by 23.4 percent of Texas facilities. Clients can also expect to participate in group and individual therapy sessions, which educate and help individuals to begin the longer work of locating and addressing the root causes of their addiction.
In addition, Hill Country Detox stresses the importance of progressing to further treatment once detox is complete. The facility can provide recommendations for residential, outpatient, and sober-living service providers.
A multidisciplinary treatment team is led by Hill Country’s board certified psychiatrist. The center is among the 20 percent of treatment facilities nationwide to be accredited or certified by the Joint Commission.
