The business side of the facility is a train-wreck. Good luck getting a straight answer from them. If you call, they will interrupt you before you can finish your question, hijack the conversation, and start dunning you for money -- before you've even received an invoice. If you speak up to object, they will say you are being rude and hang up on you. Other than their substandard business office, the PaRC is a wonderful place. You must self-pay or have good insurance to be admitted. One really needs to count their blessings if they are admitted to the PaRC. The clinical side of the facility is top-notch -- caring and effective.
Most staff were kind and helpful. I did not like not having electronic devices during detox when you have the most down time and nothing to do. The men hog the only television on the floor so you are left suffering with no attention span to read or do much else. The first night I was here I was refused any comfort meds and spent the night awake shaking and sweating and vomiting with no one concerned for my safety. I came out 3 times asking for help and was told to relax and take deep breaths. I had a good experience last year when I was here but god forbid I ever need rehab again, it will not be here. Housekeeping, kitchen staff, therapists, case managers, providers were all great. Doctors are very disconnected and not compassionate. Nurses are 50/50. Sunday, however, is the kindest, most helpful, understanding nurse you have...in my opinion. Find more nurses like him and less like Chelci. Of course, Arturo is the best too. :)
Small groups make it easy to get attention equally. nothing good to kill time between meetings. It was a nice small facility but lacked things to do there
