TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
According to the facility's website, the Recovery Center's programs are designed for people who are searching for a Christian or spiritual 12-step treatment. Programming also observes the prevalence and impact of trauma on many clients' lives.
In addition to 12-step programming, residential clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy, which draw on the techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The program also focuses on aftercare and discharge planning.
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers treatment 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) meets three times a week, on weekday mornings, for group therapy, and when necessary, psychiatric follow-up is arranged with local providers.
The Recovery Center also offers dedicated programming for military spouses, designed to help them cope with family separation, grief, loss, and other hazards of their situations. As such, it's among the 14.4 percent of Texas-based facilities that offer dedicated programming for members of military families.
