Steps Recovery Center - St George Residential

I sent me son here last year. We were lost and had no idea what we were dealing with. The first person I spoke with was so helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me advice and guidance when I needed it the most. They got on the phone with my son and insured him to give treatment a try. I finally have my son back. My son finally has his drive and motivation back to do well.

West Ridge Academy

I went to the WRA in 2020 right after Covid started in May. I was there during the summer. I enjoyed my time there I feel like it really helped my family and I deal with the problems we had at home. My therapist worked very hard with my family and I and was very fair to both sides not siding with my family or me. The staff when I was there were amazing and they made being there so fun we would do Basketball, and other sports, we went on outings that were so much fun. Things sometimes would get intense when we would play the staff or therapist because they always thought they would win but they were wrong we never lost. We did groups that would help us learn new lessons on ways to cope with different situations. One of the best parts of WRA was that everyone was there for something different or some people were there for sort of the same thing but or we were all there from different places and grew up in different lifestyles and when we all came together and lived in the same house you got to see what someone else goes through where they are from vs where your from or what your there for. It was great listening to what other people said and how maybe they could help you or you could help them. The only negative at the WRA was the food it was a little better than school lunch some meals were amazing others not so much. But overall I had a great experience at the WRA and I think it really helped my family and I. (Also the Therapist that works there that can shoot annoyingly well at basketball just make him drive as much as you can don’t let him get any space and just keep moving and tire him out, Also don’t ever jump his pump fake is wicked.

Therápia Addiction Healing Center

The treatment offered at Therapia was the most helpful aspect of my recovery. The 12 steps are where most people in addiction and alcoholism find the solution. The 12 steps are keeping hundreds of thousands of people clean in the fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous and keeping millions of alcoholics worldwide sober in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Therapia taught me and familiarized me with the 12 Steps and the staff assisted me in working and implementing the 12 Steps into my daily life. Therapia also helped me to get honest and vulnerable about my past, my addiction and my dishonest defense mechanisms I used to preserve my using. Another critical skill I learned while in Therapia is how to communicate. As addicts we learn to manipulate, lie, cheat and steal. Today I am able to be authentic, honest and accountable in my communication with my wife, family and with my fellows. I could go on about the other tools and skills I've gained from my treatment at Therapia, a few others are Shame Resilliance, Self Love, Setting Boundaries and How to Identify and Eliminate Codependent Behavior in my life. The lack of awareness and focus on these issues fed my addiction. Today I am aware and engaged in working steps. I attended an upper-scale Treatment Facility in the Provo Canyon that had all of the amenities you could ever ask for. The thing I missed at my time there was the Steps and the Skills that I have learned at Therapia. This is what keeps you clean, the Steps and the Spiritual Principles. There was nothing I see as a weakness at Therapia. There are more expensive treatment centers that have every amenity but in my experience at probably THE premier treatment center in Utah, they missed the opportunity to teach an assist with the implementation of the Steps and the Spiritual Principles of recovery into the lives of their clients. I relapsed 2 days out of that treatment center. I have 156 days clean from Therapia. and living recovery in the fellowship of NA. All of this began at Therapia for me.
