Patients who undergo intensive outpatient treatment continue to live at home and sometimes go to school or work while participating in a highly structured treatment protocol that is focused on ending substance abuse. Rehabs 360 Guide

With their headquarters based in Vernal, Utah, Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center operates three facilities in Utah, as well a facility in Grand Rapids, Colo. and a facility in Rock Sprongs, Wyo. The five facilities provide residential treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for individuals struggling with chemical dependency, as well as co-occurring mental health concerns. The facility's programming is faith-based, following the Latter-day Saints (LDS) Addiction Recovery Program curriculum.

Before beginning treatment, clients may participate in an initial assessment to determine an appropriate level of care. Individuals who require a heightened level of supervision and structure to succeed in early recovery will likely be referred to the treatment provider's residential program. To treat its clientele, Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center's programming combines evidence-based treatment methods, 12-step fellowship, holistic treatments, and experiential activities.

Utilizing evidence-based therapy approaches, namely dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center provides group, individual, and family counseling sessions to help clients address issues that may contribute to addictive behavior, set obtainable goals, and modify destructive thinking patterns. The center also facilitates group sessions that focus on trauma.

In addition to counseling sessions, Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center also incorporates the principles and practices of 12-Step. Although similar to traditional 12-Step, the facility follows a LDS form of 12-Step, which integrates faith-based values into the 12-step model of recovery. Residents may attend on-site 12-step meeting and "work the steps." As a faith-based program, clients may also be encouraged to attend worship services, give devotionals, and participate in spiritual counseling.

In addition to traditional treatment approaches, clients participate in a range of holistic treatments and therapeutic recreational activities. Residents participate in art therapy, mindful meditation, and yoga sessions, as well as a range of recreational activities, which may include camping, fishing, hiking boating, biking, horseback riding, team sports, golf, and volunteering within the community.

Once a resident completes the residential program, clinicians may encourage individuals to utilize the facility's intensive outpatient program as a "step-down" aftercare service. Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center's IOP may involve counseling sessions, educational workshops, and the specialized LDS 12-step program. Clinicians may also assist residential alumni to locate sober housing, vocational training opportunities, and other community-based resources to help support their recovery.

Allegiance Addiction Recovery Center employs a multidisciplinary team comprised of physicians experienced in addiction medicine, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family counselors, and support team.
