Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.Out Patient

ABOUT ARBOR PLACE, INC.
Located outside of the small city of Menomonie, Wis., Arbor Place, Inc., describes itself as a “counseling and renewal center,” dedicated to treating and supporting those struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. The center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for adults, as well as DUI programming and a teen tobacco diversion program. Medical detox is not available on site. [The facility is one of 99 facilities in Wisconsin that treats individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment is based on the 12-step model of recovery, supplemented by unspecified alternative methodologies.
Residential treatment is intensive, with programming lasting from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.
Residential clients largely spend their days in counseling and educational groups, covering topics such as relapse prevention, anger management, spirituality, and relationships. All clients work with a dedicated primary counselor and complete tailored assignments. Length of stay in residential treatment tends to range between 21 and 45 days.
Outpatient treatment options include an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and general outpatient counseling in individual and group settings. The center also provides medication management services for dually diagnosed clients, plus seminars and educational sessions for the families of patients. DUI programming may be designed to satisfy court and state requirements for licensed reinstatement.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Staff includes substance abuse counselors, licensed professional counselors, psychologist, prevention specialists, and an advanced practice nurse prescriber. Out of five stars, the two individuals polled on the matter by Rehabs.com to date gave the center a three-star rating and four-star rating for the staff’s level of training and experience.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Photos on Arbor Place's website show a large, homelike facility with shared bedrooms, spacious common areas, a kitchen, and an exercise room. The two individuals polled on the matter gave the center a four-star rating and a five-star rating for the facility's cleanliness.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
The two alumni polled by Rehabs.com offered mixed opinions for the facility. One anonymous reviewer gave the facility four stars for the treatment for co-occurring disorders, three stars for its holistic offerings, and two stars for its family participation and counseling options. “Care of staff was great. Individual time with counselors was poor,” they wrote. Alum M.J.K. was more critical of the facility, specifically the attitude of staff. "Staff was not empathetic, treated the Clients like criminals," they wrote.
On Google, the facility has an average rating of 3.6 out of five stars across six reviews. "If you have a life of bad habits, this is the place to learn a new way of life and freedom from addiction" H.M. wrote. "They gave me the tools to live a life worth having."
WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY
The single loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date would strongly recommend treatment at this facility. Although they gave the center two stars for its holistic offerings, the loved one offered four or five stars in for the 14 remaining evaluated treatment metrics, including the amount of family participation, counseling options, and treatment for co-occurring disorders. “Good people,” they wrote. On Google, a loved one offered a more critical opinion, specifically for the facility's vague visitation rules.

All reviews posted on staff review sites to date were positive. The facility has received seven five-star reviews on Indeed (out of eight total reviews)[2] and another five-star review on Glassdoor. [3] "The wide array of clients and amazing staff make this an enjoyable and satisfying place to work,"one former employee wrote.
